City Supervisor 

Auxvasse uses Mayor/Board/Supervisor structure of government. The City Supervisor is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. He or she has general superintending control of the administration and management of the government business, officers and employees of the City, subject to the direction and supervision of the Mayor. The City Administrator provides research and staff support for the Board of Aldermen, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and several other boards, commissions, and committees.

The City Supervisor hires and supervises all city employees, except for those in the Police and Fire Departments and the appointive positions of City Attorney, City Clerk, and City Treasurer. He or she formulates and administers most of the day-to-day rules and procedures for City operations and is directly responsible for creation and implementation of the annual City Budget. The City Administrator oversees purchasing, contacting, and personnel administration.

City Clerk

Welcome to our website! The City Clerk position is appointed by the Board of Aldermen. The City Clerk's duties include keeping the minutes of the board meetings as well as preparing and giving the oath of office to the Board of Aldermen and other city officers. All bill numbers, ordinance and resolution numbers are assigned by the City Clerk, who is also responsible for the record keeping pertaining to such. The City Clerk attests to the Mayor's signature on documents as well as counter signs all expenditures of the City. Our office handles numerous other duties including city business and liquor licenses, accounts payable/receivable/budgeting, finances and much more.

City Utilities - Our City provides water. sewer and trash service to the community and generates approximately 450 utility bills per month. Please contact our office at least 24 hours in advance before your desired service connection. Utility deposits are required  prior to utility connection.

Animal License - Our City Ordinance requires all dogs and cats to be licensed in our community. The license is $5.00 per year.  Dogs are required to be kept on a leash when outside of the home at all times.  Please bring a slip from your veterinarian's office showing the rabies vaccination number and expiration date.

Building Permits - Building permits are required if you are building a new structure, doing any remodeling (addition), installing a fence, deck, a shed on skids, etc.  Applications are available in our office or you can download the form from this website under "Public Documents/Forms".

Business License - Business license applications are available through our office.  Please contact our office for additional information.

Cemetery - Our office handles all the records for the city cemetery. If you desire to locate a loved one or purchase grave spaces, etc., please contact our office.

Deputy City Clerk

The Deputy City Clerk handles many daily job duties such as the water, sewer and trash department, dog tags, cemetery deeds and much more as well as assisting the City Clerk as needed.
