Q’s & A’s

That you may have…

Q:  When is my water, sewer and trash bill due?

A.  Water, sewer and trash will all be on one bill.  You should receive your bill by the end of the first week of each month.  If you do not receive your bill during that time, please call City Hall to get a copy of your bill.

You must pay your water bill by midnight on the 15th of each month in order to avoid a $25.00 late fee. If the 15th falls on a weekend then you have until the following business day to pay it without a late fee.   Failing to pay your bill may lead to a disconnection of services.  If services are disconnected, you will then have to pay the total amount due including the $25.00 late fee and a reconnect fee of $35, BEFORE your water may be turned back on.  Payment arrangements cannot be made in order to get your services reinstated.

Q:  Where do I pay my bill at?

A:  Your bill MUST be paid at United Security Bank located on the corner of Walnut and Main Street in Auxvasse AND you must have your bill with you.  You may use the night drop, drive-thru or go inside to do so.  IF IT IS PASSED THE 15th OF THE MONTH, YOU MUST PAY AT CITY HALL.  THE BANK WILL NOT TAKE YOUR PAYMENT AFTER THE 15TH.

Q:  When will my trash be picked up?

A:  Trash pick-up is every Friday morning.  Trash needs to be set out the night before due to pick-up very early on Friday.  You must provide your own trash can.

Q:  What if I have a pet?

A:  If you have a pet that is six months of age or older then you must purchase a City Pet Tag from City Hall.  You must show verification of the rabies vaccination for your pet from your veterinarian.  You must still purchase a city pet tag even if you have a rabies tag.  Tags are $5.00.
